Backtagging: I live for this.
Threadhopping: If it is not a locked thread.
Fourthwalling: Yes. He's that kind of being.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): None that I can think of, but if something comes up we'll talk.
[IC]
Hugging this character: It's odd for him and he may raise an eyebrow at you or otherwise return the favor and attempt to make you very uncomfortable.
Kissing this character: Depends on the level of intimacy. If you're trying to make him uncomfortable, go for it.
Sexual intimacy with this character: If it comes to that at any point, Loki is the pagan god of certain sexual acts so he's up for anything with anyone. Not that he's in a huge rush to break in the new body.
Flirting with this character: Expect retaliation for your flirting. He will do his best to one-up you and make you uncomfortable.
Fighting with this character: Yes. Loki is not particularly at his strongest when it comes to physical conflict. He can certainly fight and he's very capable with a sword, but his skill lies in sorcery.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Anything short of severing protruding body parts, sure.
Killing this character: Unless it is plot related then I will have to pass.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Loki doesn't have any defenses against these abilities, but beware, Loki's headspace might just drive you mad.
[OPT OUT]
Loki is a rather powerful individual within the Marvel 616 universe, with a very broad power wheel. If for any reason you want to opt out of interacting with Loki--whether it's because he's a creeper or his abilities come into conflict with your character then drop me a line-
Abilities:
Physical
Strength he has heighted strength and while he doesn’t often display brute force he can, potentially, lift 50 tons.
Durability Loki is capable of resisting wear, pressure, and damage that far exceeds what a human being can endure. He is also highly resistant to the cold. He took a hit from the Hulk and walked away with a black eye.
Stamina due to his inherited Frost Giant metabolism, Loki enjoys a boost to his stamina.
Density again due to his Frost Giant heritage Loki is far denser than the average human being, by at least three times making him heavier than he looks. Though this is either subjective or negated by his magic, because, even though he weighs half a ton, nothing seems to bend or give under his weight.
Healing as the Hulk and Thor have proven time and time again, Loki can be injured, he’s not infallible. Loki’s weakness is that he is not much for physical confrontation and brute force can overwhelm him. He does, however, heal faster than a normal person would, not Wolverine fast, but quickly enough.
All-Tongue enables those who hear the Asgardia language to hear it as their own and the reverse.
Lip Reading as implied, Loki can read lips.
Weapons Loki is not one for physical confrontation most of the time, but he has been known to use weapons and he is a decent swordsman. He went toe-to-toe with Sigurd.
Items
Seven-League Boots are boots than enable him to run along various surfaces, including ones that are seemingly impossible like rainbows and waterfalls.
Invisibility Coat it is infused with shadow thread stolen from Svartalfheim and it can, essentially, make him invisible.
Gram it is the sword that belongs to the hero, Sigurd, but Loki actually constructed it for himself (it’s a complicated story, but essentially it is Loki’s sword). It has the ability to:
- pierce lies with truth magic
- force possessed corruption out of individuals such as when Thor was possessed by the evil malice of Loki’s former/future self. (it's convoluted)
- because the sword is a sword of truth the amount of pain and damage is equivalent to the lie being told.
- if an individual is under telepathic influence the sword can free them as the influence is untrue.
- it can also act as a normal sword and can deal damage thusly.
Magic/Reality Bending
Loki’s magic is complex and varied, limited only by his imagination. He describes magic as “taking a thought and making it real…taking a lie and making it the truth…telling a story to the universe so utterly, cosmically perfect that for one shining moment- the world believes a man can fly.” He is capable of using his abilities to varying effects and has been deemed the most powerful sorcerer in Asgard and one of the most powerful sorcerers in the marvel universe. A rundown of his abilities include:
Illusions Loki is most famous for illusions, he is capable of confusing the senses and planting false ideas in a number of ways. This includes being able to sense illusions, creating decoys, vanishing acts, conjuring spells, misdirection (he was able to project his appearance on Bruce Banner as a means of misdirecting Hawkeye so that he could sneak away), he can use his illusions to create an environment (such as with his apartment).
Glamour a noted subform of his ability to create illusions is one that Loki has dubbed glamor. He made Taxi cards look like I.D. cards so that he and the other Young Avengers could get into a club and so that he could drink wine. Apparently his illusion was able to convince the people at the club that he had a growth defect.
Shape Shifting Loki has been shown to take on a variety of forms, stating in Agent of Asgard that he can turn himself into anything as long as it’s him. He’s taken on the form of other people, an anthropomorphized fox, and a unicorn in Agent of Asgard. He’s also been shown giving others the appearance of something or someone else, though this qualifies more as an illusion.
Astral Projection Loki is able to project a kind of holographic image of himself over great distances. He’s been known to use this technique for, both, communicating and spying. Since he has to stay in one spot for the transmission, Loki can be easily assailed. He used this magic to contact Mother.
Teleportation as long as he knows where he’s going, Loki can teleport just about anywhere. He’s also been known to hop around his own timeline, both the future and the past.
Magical Intuition this is simply how Loki knows magic, his understanding is intuitive, his aptitude for magic directly stems from his ability to learn and master concepts relatively quickly. If something is magic or made up of magic? He’ll know this as well.
